IKF rules will apply for all classes. Additional non-IKF classes (i.e., run what you brung) can be run providing there are 4 or more entries in a class.

Tech Inspections: All karts will go through a “pre-tech” process prior to the start of the races. The top 3 karts for each feature race will be held in impound for post race tech inspection. These 3 karts will go to impound directly upon exiting the race surface and will not be allowed to return to the pit area until released upon completion of this inspection. Race results and payouts will not be finalized until the tech inspections are complete for each respective class. Regardless of the finish, any kart is subject to a tech inspection at the request of a track official. Refusal to comply will result in disqualification.

-Tech inspection may include oil and fuel testing. Any driver disqualified for illegal fuel will lose all points for that race event.

Protests: Protests must be submitted, in writing, to the Race Director within 15 minutes of the completion of the race. The engine protest fee is $100.00, and must be paid at the time of protest announcement.

Safety:

Helmets: Full faces helmets meeting Snell Foundation 2000 standards are mandatory.

Neck Brace: Collar type neck braces designed for motor sports are mandatory for ALL classes.

Driver Apparel: It is recommended that drivers wear a full fire resistant driving suit with racing shoes and gloves. Drivers are required to wear at least a long sleeved jacket (i.e., leather, vinyl, denim, race suit jacket), long denim jeans, high top sneakers and gloves.

Track Specific Rules:

Yellow/Red Flag Conditions: Any kart causing a yellow flag condition will be sent to the back upon restart of the race. If a driver causes a yellow flag 3 times in the same race, he/she will be disqualified from that race. Any driver who fails to stop his/her kart under a red flag will be automatically disqualified from that race.

Restarts: Restarts following a red or yellow flag will be single file if one full lap has been completed or side-by-side if a full lap has not been completed. An orange cone will be used on single file restarts indicating that no driver may pass prior to the cone and all karts must go on the outside of the cone upon the restart of the race.

Repairs: Drivers and pit crews will not be allowed to fix or attempt to fix a kart during a yellow or red flag. No driver will be allowed to restart his/her engine on the racing surface.

Sportsmanship: Rough driving will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification of the driver/drivers involved. It is expected that pit crews, fans and family members conduct themselves in a sportsman like manner as well. Any person acting in an unsportsman like manner on behalf of the driver will result in disqualification for the driver.

Alcoholic Beverages: Consumption of alcoholic beverages will not be allowed in the pit area during the races. Minors are not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages at anytime.

Reserved Pit Stalls: Reserve pit stalls may be purchases starting with the first practice session of the year. Pits stalls will be awarded on a first come first serve basis. Drivers with paid pit stalls from the previous season will have first choice to keep their stalls. Paid pit stall reservations will be honored for the entire season. Pit stall reservations will not be honored during IKF sanctioned events (i.e., IKF Midwest Series).

Reserved Numbers/Points Registration: Upon registering for track points, your number will automatically be reserved for the entire race season. Point registration will begin during the first practice session and points will be calculated starting with the first points race after the driver has registered. Number reservations will be granted on a first come, first serve basis for those wishing to register for points. Any non-registered driver having the same kart number as a registered driver will be asked to change his/her kart number prior to the start of the races. Points are awarded to the driver, not the kart. Registered drivers racing in a different kart must do so in the same class in which they registered in order to receive points.

Rainouts: Rainouts will be posted on the following websites: wavelinkracewaypark.com, dirtdrivers.com, 4cycle.com . It is recommended that in the event of inclement weather, you call the racetrack to verify the status of the races (402.786.5588). If the races are called off due to rain prior to the start of the race, a make-up will be determined. If a race event has already started and the both set of heat races have been finished, the race will be called complete and finished will be determined by the heat finished. If the heat races have not been completed, a date to make up the features will be determined.

Pit Stall Reservation (optional): $50.00
Points Registration (optional): $25.00
Weekly Show Driver’s Entry: $25.00 for first class entered, $20.00 each additional class
